EXCITING NEWS for CANADA (as of June 21, 2021) !!!
The Canadian Government announced their first step in easing the quarantine requirements for entry to Canada. In summary, all travellers who are fully vaccinated are eligible to bypass quarantine once they have received the results of a negative COVID-19 test. The first phase of Canada's approach to easing border measures will begin on July 5, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, for fully vaccinated travellers who are eligible to enter Canada under the current travel restrictions.

The release makes clear that this applies to all travellers who can currently enter Canada, not just Canadians. The entry restrictions into Canada are unchanged - just the quarantine requirement has changed.

Currently, business visitors are able to enter Canada without a work permit from the United States only. This would include Directors, DPs and other essential crew, as well as agency and client as long as they can explain their presence as essential to the process, subject to the discretion of the border agent. Under the new easing rules, these people could continue to enter Canada without requiring a 14 day quarantine if they are fully vaccinated.

Commercial crew from countries other than the United States require a work permit under COVID-19 restrictions, or would have to travel through the United States, to enter Canada.
